233rd Transportation Company (Heavy) deploys again

FORT KNOX, KY. -- Members of the 233d Transportation Company Heavy), will say good-bye to families and friends at a deployment ceremony on Oct. 9, 2005, at 9 p.m., in Sadowski Field House. More than 100 Soldiers of the 233d Transportation Company will leave in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where their mission will be to transport heavy equipment within the area of operations.

This is the fourth time the company has deployed to the Global War on Terrorism since 2003. More than 50% of Soldiers in the company are on the second or third deployment to the conflict.

I'll be covering this Sunday night. During their first two deployments, soldiers of the 233rd drove a total of more than 2 million miles.
